About Cold coffee
Cold coffee is a famous beverage made differently across the world with varying ingredients. I make it with coffee, sugar, and milk. In this recipe, I used milk and I used a blender for the thickness of cold coffee. However, you can also use a mason jar or shaker bottle to froth it.
The way of serving many cafes is different but in some cafes, cold coffee is served with a topping of ice cream and garnished with chocolate syrup. You can also follow the same design, pour the prepared drink into a glass then garnish with ice cream and chocolate syrup.
This five to six-item recipe is ideal, and delightful to sip, and you can tailor as much as you please. As for the coffee choice, it’s your call, I opt for filter coffee or espresso. Then, simply add crushed ice, let it chill to your preference, and savor.
Cloud Coffe Without Blender
If you do not have any type of blender, then you can take a mason jar or shaker bottle. After making a coffee mixture in the jar then pour the milk and shake it for 2 to 3 minutes. Carefully do not over-mix. In case of over-mixing butter floating on the top.
The other way of cold coffee is to make it in your serving cup with milk. Use a milk frother and froth it for 2 to 3 minutes until froths on the top of coffee.
Flavor Your Cold Coffee
It is not easy to describe the best taste of anything in words. Here I will tell you the different ways to flavor. If you crave a chocolate flavor in your drink, use a spoonful of cocoa powder when making your coffee.
If you want to make your syrup like another flavor, consider incorporating flavored syrup to impart that desired taste.
How To Make Cold Coffee
First, take a bowl and pour a tablespoon of coffee into it, whether it’s coffee powder or coffee grounds. Add a cup of cold boiled water to it, followed by sugar according to your taste, and then add milk. Transfer the mixture to a blender and grind it at a setting between 50 to 60. Place crushed ice in a glass and pour melted chocolate into the glass before adding the ice and the prepared mixture.
Step by Step Instructions
- How to make this recipe
- If you want to make your cold coffee more delicious and sweet then garnish your serving glass or cup with melted chocolate or chocolate syrup. Add 10 grams of chocolate to the insides of the glass. Then place the glass in the refrigerator for cooling for up to 5 to 6 minutes.
- Use 20 grams of instant coffee. You can use whatever coffee you like. I mostly use ground coffee. If you are using brewed filter coffee, you can pour it directly into the blender jar.
- Add sugar powder according to your taste. I added 32 grams of sugar powder.
- I add 40 ml of hot water. If you want to increase or decrease the amount of water.
- Then, turn on the grander button until it becomes frothy meaning sugar and coffee have completely mixed.
- Add 280 ml of milk. If you want your coffee to be cold and thick, try using milk colder than cold.
- I added a milk cube instead of an ice cube because I do not like diluted coffee. I use a milk cube. It will give you a thicker drink like the one with ice cream.
- Blend until frothy on top. Do not over blend its thickness will decrease.
- Then, pour it into the glass. If you want, you can add ice cream or sprinkle chocolate on top of it. Finally, enjoy your drink!
Professional Point
- This coffee I use is a specific brand, and I would suggest that you also opt for your favorite brand, prioritizing good quality above all else.
- Use good quality milk. The better the milk, the thicker the froth on top of your drink. I use cold milk instead of ice cubes for a smoother texture.
- You can use brown sugar, granulated sugar, or another sweetener like dates or honey if you prefer.
- If you are using vanilla ice cream, reduce the amount of sugar or sweetener, as it already contains sweeteners which can make your coffee dessert too sweet.
- If you enjoy stronger coffee and tend to drink more of it, you can increase the amount of coffee from 30 grams to 40 grams according to your preference.

Can I make this a vegan cold coffee recipe?
Yes, you have the option to substitute dairy milk with plant-based alternatives like almond, coconut, or walnut milk. However, when I tried this substitution, I found that the taste didn’t quite suit my preference. I have a preference for dairy milk as I find its flavor more enjoyable. Therefore, I stick to using dairy milk exclusively, as I believe plant-based alternatives don’t quite match the taste profile of dairy milk.
